Life?!
Some of you are wondering where we have been. I will try to give you the short version. Back in May I had a kidney stone when I was 12 weeks pregnant and the doctors put a stent in. At times it was very painful but most of the time it was just a nagging pain in my side. I guess you could call it the "thorn in my flesh." Last Tuesday the pain was so sever and the medicine was not helping so I went back in the hospital that night. But praise the Lord, the pain did subside and the baby is ok. The doctor wanted to keep me there Wed. night also and wouldn't you know it, I passed that stone. It was huge!!!! The doctors and nurses could not believe I was not dying of pain and asking for meds. I know it is totally God's grace.
This pregnancy has been totally different than the first. Nausa weeks 6-12, the kidney stone at week 12, pain from the kidney stone weeks 12-30, infections, some weird thing on my arm that had to be removed that was due to the pregnancy and now I am battling a head cold. In my Bible study though I am reminded that God gives us the grace we need to get through everything.
We are also dealing with some leaky pipes in the kitchen. The floor was wet when we got back from the hospital so now we have to get new pipes and tear out the cabinets and put new ones in. Luckily I know a great cabinet guy!!! Thanks Dad! You know sometimes it seems that when you just can't take anymore God says Yes you can and you will only be able to get through it totally dependent on ME.
Psalm 62:1-2
"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my Salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken."
